Buckets of Hope

Parker Road Baptist Church will be collecting food for Haiti with the Buckets of Hope program sponsored by the South Baptist Convention Disaster Relief organization.  We will be accepting the following food items through Sunday, March 7:

  • (2) 5 pound bags of long grain enriched rice

  • (1) 48 ounce plastic bottle of cooking oil

  • (2) 2 pound bags of dry black beans or dry red beans

  • (1) 5 pound bag of all purpose flour (not self-rising)

  • (1) 20 ounce cylindrical container of granulated white sugar (coffee service size)

  • (2) 1 lb boxes of spaghetti noodles

  • (1) 40 ounce plastic jar of smooth peanut butter

  • (1) 2 gallon plastic ziplock storage bag (to wrap bottle of cooking oil)

These items will be assembled into 5 gallon buckets which we will provide.  You may bring any or all of the above items but PLEASE bring the exact description of the item.  Otherwise they will not fit into the bucket.

These buckets will eventually leave a Florida warehouse and be shipped to Haiti and given to individual families.  Each bucket will have a label, indicating that it is a gift of Christian love and support from Southern Baptists.  The label will also include a Gospel presentation.
